Note the beautiful carved legs and music rack. This instrument is made of beautiful walnut wood and is of the carved Sharaton style. These pianos are an average of 3 to 5 inches narrower than conventional baby grand pianos, but their unique scale design creates a tone quality that is comparable to much larger instruments. Although it has a full 88 note keyboard and is a full-size piano in every way, the “Quarter Grand” has narrow dimensions and an overall petite appearance. The “Quarter Grand” model was designed as a smaller size grand piano with modest dimensions. This beautiful piano is a classic “Quarter Grand” model baby grand piano, one of Chickering’s most successful models during the early 20 th Century period.

Chickering has long been known having built some of the finest instruments in American history! Chickering was the first piano manufacturer in America.
